Kerosene Vapor Phase Drying Equipment

Share

The Kerosene Vapor Phase Drying Equipment (KVPD) is primarily utilized for drying bodies in super high voltage transformers and reactors of 110KV and above. The fundamental principle is based on the evaporation of liquid kerosene through heating.

Description

During the process, high-temperature kerosene vapor enters the vacuum tank and adheres to the workpiece, where it condenses and releases latent heat of condensation (approximately 306.6KJ/KG). This leads to the heating of the workpiece. The condensed kerosene is then collected and sent back to the evaporator for further heating. As a result, the workpiece is continuously heated, causing the water to evaporate. The water vapor is expelled under vacuum conditions, ultimately ensuring the complete drying of the workpiece. This innovative drying method guarantees efficient and thorough drying for super high voltage transformer and reactor bodies.

Process Features

1.Utilizes kerosene vapor as a heating medium, which provides convective heat and releases heat through condensation, ensuring uniform workpiece temperature.

2.The condensing kerosene covers the surface of the workpiece, facilitating efficient heat exchange and increasing heat efficiency.

3.Kerosene's lower saturation pressure compared to water allows for quick evaporation without affecting water's diffusion coefficient at high vacuum conditions.

4.Vacuum heating prevents aging of insulation materials and accelerates water evaporation due to increased partial pressure of water vapor.

5.Condensed kerosene infiltrates the workpiece, enhancing thermal conductivity and promoting deep temperature uniformity.

6.Kerosene acts as a cleaning solvent, making KVPD suitable for transformer repairs with the ability to clean the workpiece effectively.
