Cold Press Welding Foil Winding Machine

Share

Cold press welding is a welding technique that involves applying pressure to deform the workpiece, bringing the materials into physical contact. This process leads to plastic deformation, causing the pure metals at the connection interface to be extruded and form a strong bond, resulting in a firm and secure joint.

Overview of cold press welding

Cold welding foil winding machine which is characterized by matching and stacking clean plates and clean foil that need to be welded on the plate. The foil parts are on the top, and the plate to be welded are kept on a flat foundation, then use the press head which moving along the normal direction of the foundation to pressed out a pit at the welding part to form a welding spot, so that the connection resistance between the foil and the plate is not greater than the connection resistance of the fusion welding under the same conditions.

This solution is mainly used for cold press welding of copper and aluminum, corresponding to aluminum foil or copper foil , aluminum busbar or copper busbar, it is necessary to ensure that the surface of the workpiece or welding material is clean and free of oil and oxide film. Therefore, if there is a corresponding The surface quality condition requires corresponding treatment. Since pure aluminum and pure copper are relatively easy to oxidize in the air, it is best to clean the oxide film before welding to ensure the quality of welding. Different welding materials require different pit depths. When the connection object is determined, the pit depth can be obtained through a limited number of experiments under the limited conditions of continuous resistance.
